Desnudo Coffee: Downtown

I have no idea why I’m writing this review so late because I’ve been drinking Desnudo for two years now, and it’s way overdue. This place is a total gem in Austin—one of the few spots where you can get both amazing coffee and matcha. I swear they were one of the first in the city to use that high-quality ceremonial-grade matcha from Uji & the traditional method of whisking it. As a matcha girl with a coffee-loving husband, this place is a staple for us. My husband is obsessed with the brown sugar miso, their seasonal choco cloud and their most recent seasonal drink the forbidden latte! They also don’t charge extra for oat milk, which is such a small but super appreciated detail. Their matcha is always creamy, top-tier, and about 7. Meanwhile, most other places are hit-or-miss, often watery depending on the milk or how much water is being used to whisk the matcha, with the oat milk upcharge, you’re easily paying 9–10. But honestly, beyond the drinks, the people make this place even better. The owners and staff are some of the nicest folks, and they’ve built such a welcoming community. If you stop by their Webberville location, you’ll see what I mean—the vibes are immaculate and they’ve brought that same love to downtown Austin. All in all if I’m not making matcha & coffee at home I’m only going to Desnudo!

My boyfriend is an avid coffee connoisseur whereas I am a matcha one. We were visiting from Vegas two weeks ago and stopped here. I purchased our drinks ahead of time, but accidentally ordered for the East Austin location. They were super nice about it and helped me so quickly despite it being so busy! Service 10/10 the team was so cohesive and sweet. Now to drinks: I’m a matcha SNOB I won’t lie (lol) but their matcha... oh my god. I came back home to Vegas where our food/drink scene is crazy good and I am still thinking about Desnudo’s drinks. Like I woke up dreaming about it that’s why I had to write this review. The matcha quality is so clean, color beautiful, smooth, and perfect combination of the milk to matcha ratio. Not too sweet and you can actually taste the umami notes of their Uji matcha. I added the 1/2 brown sugar syrup to mine for a little sweetness and it had no artificial flavor at all (sooo good). The coffee was just as amazing! I’m here to advocate for you guys to open a location in Vegas we’d give you so much business whenever we come back, I’ll be coming here! Thanks again!

This place is so worth the hype! Delicious and creative coffee, great croissants, and a lovely and vibrant atmosphere. My favorite was the white miso latte with orange blossom - YUM. The staff is also the sweetest — Rosa was so warm and welcoming, and knew so much about the company. Don’t be fooled by the long line, the staff does a great job moving quickly. I will definitely come back every time I’m in Austin! :)

My husband has been wanting to visit this coffee shop since before we moved to town, what better way to start Father’s Day? The coffee did NOT disappoint. As a bit of a cold brew snob, my husband hardly ever calls it ‘great,’ but Desnudo made the grade. He also sipped on a cortado and was seemingly humming as he did. Mark one in the WIN column. I had the brown sugar miso latte (iced) and while I prefer hot coffee, it was just too warm out to do that to myself. It was still DIVINE. Not too sweet, but just the right touch of sweetness to balance the miso. I can’t wait to try it again as a warm cup. Pro-tip, if they are out of croissants, you can go downstairs to Austin Rotisserie (inside food hall - opens at 11am) and grab the same ones (chocolate or butter). We did that and it was worth the extra trek down there with a stroller. Can’t wait to go back!

Love this coffee. Way better than Devocion and it’s only 5 for a cold brew. The line does get long unfortunately and it’s hot so good to go early. Their croissants are also crispy and flaky Across from there is a breakfast taco place so between the both of these it’s the perfect breakfast

I have heard so many good things about Desnudo Coffee and finally gave it a try today. I tried the Brown Sugar Miso Iced and absolutely loved it. All their signature coffees have some fermentation and the right flavor in the coffee beans. Sourced from Columbia the coffee tasted heavenly. The service is amazing and very welcoming. Juan was amazing in telling me their story and helping me choose the right coffee to my liking. They have milk alternatives for replacement. Also you can take home some coffee as they have Coffee bean bags to purchase. There was Plain and Chocolate Croissants. Trust me do yourself a favor and grab a drink at Desnudo and you won’t be disappointed. I’m definitely going back

Desnudo Coffee at Fareground has quickly become one of my favorite downtown spots. This location opened in August 2024, and it’s such a great addition to the Austin coffee scene. It’s tucked right next to Fareground with a beautiful patio—peaceful, shaded, and surrounded by trees and plants. Even though you’re in the heart of the city, it feels calm and refreshing. A perfect place to hang out, get some work done, or unwind after a run around Town Lake. Their coffee is top-notch—sourced from small Colombian farmers, and you can really taste the quality. I love their mission and the care they put into every drink. If you’re downtown and looking for a chill spot with great coffee, good vibes, and city energy—Desnudo is a must. Plus, you’re surrounded by a variety of places to eat. Just steps away, you have Second Street District, known for its diverse dining options, and Veracruz All Natural, a beloved spot for authentic Mexican food. The Fareground food court itself offers a mix of eateries, making it easy to grab a bite before or after your coffee.

AN AUSTIN STAPLE. The best coffee in the country is right here in Austin, TX. After three years since opening, the city of Austin has even commemorated a day in their honor! Desnudo has not only blessed us with the most delicious creative and mouth watering beverages any menu could offer but they have created a community of believers. As a faithful Desnudo customer, the mission behind these trucks is the greatest incentive to enjoy my morning the best way I know how... obviously with the Angels from heaven known as their staff, but also because they believe they Can change one small farm at a time. They are literally changing lives both here in the US but also in Columbia. Sergio & Juan know good coffee, they know good service, they know a welcoming culture and with that knowledge and wisdom, they have built a legacy of excellence. Also I can not give enough praise to their staff! Every single one of them possesses magical powers and will make you smile or melt because of how wonderful they treat you and how much love they spread. You will not be disappointed by the cappuccino, any latte, & their exquisite matcha. Bring your own Mug for an extra level of goodness. Also, they’ve partnered with Epicerie and carry their croissants so def don’t sleep on dipping one of those in your coffee! It’s hard to stick with my go-to cappuccino when they come out with new seasonal options because they’re always so gooooood and you gotta catch em while you can! IN DESNUDO WE TRUST
